I use techniques from a variety of theories and types of therapy, including,
  • Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy




Length of Treatment:

This will depend on the issues you would like to address, and your interest in therapy.

  • Brief symptom-focused therapy may be as short as 6 sessions
  • Long-term exploratory therapy may range from one or two years to several years

Frequency of Sessions:

  • I generally see clients once weekly, especially at the beginning.
  • If your budget does not permit this, I am willing to discuss scheduling sessions every 2 weeks.
  • If we have been working together for awhile, and feel that you have made progress on your therapy goals, we may choose to “phase out” the ending by meeting every 2-4 weeks for a few months.
  • After therapy has ended, you may later experience a time of stress in which you face a new crisis or some of your symptoms return. You may call me to start therapy again, or just schedule 1-2 sessions until you are feeling more confident.
