No, psychologists licensed in Oklahoma do not write prescriptions or provide medications.
Are you willing to communicate with my medical provider? I am happy to consult with your medical provider, if you and I decide that it might be helpful to your success in therapy. I have a form for you to complete that gives me your consent.
Do I have to use my insurance policy? No, that is entirely your choice.
Will you give me a diagnosis? A diagnosis is required for insurance claims and psychotherapy records. We will discuss this during the first session, so that you know what is being entered on your records.
Are these services confidential? Ethics and the law require me to keep your information confidential, unless you give me written permission to share information. Confidentiality may be limited by law in certain situations, such as when someone may be a danger to themselves or others, reasonable suspicion abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or by court order.
